Overview

Transformers are usually the longest-lead and most specification-sensitive item in a power project. We support customers from the first enquiry through parameter confirmation, factory testing and delivery, coordinating directly with the manufacturer’s design and test departments.

The range presented here covers distribution transformers for networks and industrial sites, medium power transformers for primary substations, and large power transformers for transmission and generation step-up. Both oil-immersed and cast-resin dry-type designs can be discussed.

What we need from you

To give you a meaningful answer quickly, the following information is helpful. If you do not have everything yet, send what you have — our assistant or an engineer will ask for the rest.

  • Rated power and voltage ratio, vector group, frequency
  • Installation country and site conditions (indoor/outdoor, altitude, ambient)
  • Required loss class or efficiency level
  • Tap changer type and range
  • Required standards, tests and documentation language
  • Quantity, target delivery date and delivery location

Factory testing and documentation

Routine tests, type tests and special tests are agreed per project. Witnessing of factory acceptance tests (FAT) in China can be arranged for customers with confirmed orders.

All parameters on this page are typical ranges to be confirmed by the manufacturer. They are not a guarantee of availability or performance for a specific project.

Typical applications

  • Utility distribution networks and primary substations
  • Industrial plants with dedicated MV supply
  • Step-up transformers for solar and wind parks
  • Grid interconnection and transmission substations
  • Replacement of ageing units in modernisation projects
